Early this morning we went to the US Embassy here in Guatemala for probably one ofthe most important appointments of our lives. Once a bit fearful of this particular appointment, we had been promised it really is nothing to lose sleep over and you know, everyone was right (as long as you triple check your alarm that is). Now we wait for Mia's visa which should arrive tomorrow afternoon. Once we receive this packet, our paperwork will be as ready to head home as we are! When we land in Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon, Mia will become a US citizen. Neat, huh?!

We had a chill day today. While we would have loved to be out and about, getting up early, early can kill a traveler's mood. Instead, we spent some time poolside and witnessed REAL rain. Mia is doing very well. We have one very happy baby on our hands. What are we ever to do?

Heather, I’m so glad that everything is going so well for you and Mia. I have been thinking about you this week and I have been checking your blog. I know those on the BB are also thinking about you. Enjoy and have a safe trip home, I can’t wait to see pictures and hear all about your adventure!

Oh, Heather ~ wow! What a blessing to read your account of Mia's physical birth into your family. (We know she arrived long ago in your hearts!) Praise God for a smooth transition and quick attachment. Enjoy your last days in Guate and blow kisses to my boy for me while you're there. :) Continued prayers for you all!
