We're home and finally feeling a bit settled. It was an absolute dream to sleep in OUR bed! Mia has slept better since she arrived home which surprised us since she was sleeping in a bed not a crib. Spencer just adores Mia. He is having a tough time adjusting to the reality of sharing Ma and Pa. I don't blame him a bit...we are pretty neat ;P.

We're flying low on the radar for the next week for sure. We do get out a bit, but the only vistors we've had bring with them food. Yum! The bonding process is most definitely a two way street and while Mia needs this special family time, we do too.

These pics are from our journey home. The one in the middle is of Mia and her tootsies touching US soil (in this case, airport carpet) for the very first time. Kinda cool, huh?!

Praise the Lord!!! Yay, Jesus!! Thank You, Father, for placing in us the spirit of adoption, which lets us cry out to You, "Daddy!!" And which lets our hearts expand enough to answer that cry from an orphan's mouth, to be her momma and papa. Please bless Alfonso, Heather, Spencer, and Mia as you knit their hearts together to be the Munoz family. (Prayers from Virginia for y'all won't stop, you know. Love you!!!)

Sometimes it is hard to wait for something special. In my waiting experience it is sometimes the wait that prepares us to be eternally grateful for the effort we put into the results and patience it took. God always promises to provide in his time. This is such the special event! We have prayed with you for a year and now the "blessed day" has come. You already look like the perfect family! May each new day bring joy that overpowers any previous memories that may hinder. You are loved!
